Unemployment compensation notices, ca. 1986-[ongoing].

Agriculture and Industries hires seasonal employees who work from eight to ten weeks per year, during the peanut harvest. When they are laid off they become eligible to draw unemployment earnings. These weekly notices are sent to Accounting by the State Unemployment Insurance Division of the Dept. of Industrial Relations. Each notice contains the recipient's name, social security number, amount paid, and the period of time covered. The Accounting staff compares these notices with the Quarterly Statement of Benefit Costs (series S-4-15) received from Industrial Relations.
